Which API
should I refer to ?
Health effects from air pollution come about due to a combination of the
concentration of the air pollutants and the amount of time you are exposed
to the air pollution. Exposure to moderately high pollution levels for a short
period of time normally will not lead to any significant problem.
For most of us, the general API is more relevant as it represents the air
pollution that we are exposed to for most of the time. The general API
makes reference to the measurements at our ambient monitoring stations
located on 4 to 6-floor buildings. The stations comply with the highest
international standards and are designed to be fully accredited and approved
by overseas experts to provide accurate and representative air pollution
information. Locations of these stations are given below:-

Areas of similar

If you live in an area not listed above, you may refer
to the API measured in an area similar to where
you live.
